Student Meals Now Free at GHV
All children enrolled in the GHV School District will be served free meals. The USDA announced the extension of the Summer Food Service Program, and GHV has chosen to participate.

When does it begin?
This is effective immediately (September 11) and continues through December 31st, 2020, or until funding runs out.  The free meals include both breakfast and lunch. A la carte will be available for students to purchase. The USDA will inform the school district when the program concludes and the district will return to paid meals.

Please review the following situations.
1) Your student falls under Direct Certification for Free/Reduced Meals: Make sure you filled out the registration waiver and your lunch status will continue to be the same throughout the year. No further action is needed for you.
2) Your student falls under Free/Reduced Meals based on the application you completed: Your status will remain the same regardless of when the funds run out. No further action is needed for you.
3) Your student falls under Full Payment of Meals: You will receive free benefits until the funds run out. However, if you would like to apply for Free/Reduced lunches once the funds run out, please fill out a Free/Reduced lunch application.

Unless you qualify for Direct Certification or complete a Free/Reduced Lunch Application, you will have to pay for school registration. The deadline to sign a waiver for registration is 9/14/20.

If your financial status changes anytime throughout the year, please stop in the district office to fill out an application.
If you have any questions, please contact the GHV District Office at 641-923-2718.
